Shireen Alam
Orchestra is a center that caters to the needs for special children to promote intensive learning to develop skills, and also to stimulate their potential with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Our goal is to bring out the potentials in terms of communication, behaviour, self dependency and academic learning in their day to day life. We believe that through effective intervention, an individual with special needs would be able to lead his/her life independently. Our dream is to bring back smile to the individual and to the families with this conviction that one day we shall overcome!

MBBS, MS (SURGERY) CHITTAGONG MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, CONSULTANT SURGEON. (GENERAL, COLORECTAL, BREAST, LAPAROSCOPIC) AND ADVANCED TRAINING IN THORACIC SURGERY.
I believe every individual has potential even if they fail to do it due to lack of communication skills. They have the right to achieve in alternative ways. The roads we take are not the only roads to reach our destination. We should accept and respect differences because every child counts, every life counts.
DR. ALAMGIR MD SHOAB
Being a parent of a special needs child, the first and the most essential belief we all should have is the acceptance. If we cannot embrace the incapabilities of our children, then all our effort and support towards them would not bring any positive changes in their life. Because eventually our actions would show what we feel for them, and that is nothing but mere sympathy. Therefore accepting every child with their special needs is the first key to open up the door for enlightenment through which these beautiful children would be able to participate in building our nation.

Children with special needs are increasing day by day over the world. Early inclusive intervention may provide better improvement for children who need support for learning. Orchestra is a center which maintain high professionalism for improving the skills of those children in need by addressing the problem through intensive assessment. This center always tends to support parents as well as children. I feel very proud to be a part of them. I truly believe, one day, this center will become one of the most popular centers in Chittagong which eventually will make its mark in Bangladesh.

We must accept them with their strengths as well as with their weaknesses. Services
PSYCHIATRIC & PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
Our expert psychiatrist and child psychologist do an assessment through which they will measure the cognitive ability, behavioral and emotional aspects, and environmental adaptability of a child with special needs.
SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY
Speech is an integral part of our life. Our speech therapist helps the children with special needs to interact, form social relationships, and function in their every day of life.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Our therapist assesses and helps children with movement disorders, disability or illness. Through effective intervention and support children are able to reach their full potential to function in their life.
SPECIAL EDUCATION
We know, when a child has unique needs, his/her learning must be accommodated in a unique way. Children have diversified needs such as communicational, environmental adaptability, emotional and academic. Unlike others, children with special needs find it very difficult to express their needs. Therefore, our special educators assess and make individualised Education Plan(IEP) for them. Through effective intervention, our educators help these children to become independent in their day to day life.
NUTRITIONAL ASSESSMENT & DIET PLAN
Children with special needs often face obstacles to have a healthy relationship with food. There could be various reasons for which a child can be over or underweight. Our nutritionist helps a child to set up specific guidelines to tackle the challenges they are facing in terms of eating food or to support a child in developing self restraints from having too much food.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
In the life of a special needs child, occupational therapy plays a very vital role. Through effective therapeutic and sensory integration, our therapists help a child to develop motor and life skills. The aim of this is to have meaningful everyday activities that can give a child a sense of direction and purpose in life.
